History
until 2001
The right course for the future success of a company is set long before the actual establishment. In case of stegema and its founders, the brothers Georg and Matthias Steffen, it was not any different.
Before the company was established, Georg Steffen worked as a trainer in the training academy of a leading, meanwhile German-Japanese manufacturer of CNC machine tools, where he trained future programmers/machine operators as a CNC trainer.
Matthias Steffen gained his experience while he was working for various automotive suppliers, where he was a project engineer and CAD designer in the field of fixture and gauge engineering department.
2001
Establishment of stegema Fertigungstechnik OHG
Purchase of the first new CNC machining centre from Deckel-Maho
2002
Move into new location in Bielefeld, Am Stadtholz 46a
Start of series production of ground circular materials
2003
Acquisition of a 3D CAD system with the possibility of surface and volume modelling
Setup of a construction office with focus on fixture and equipment design
2004
Acquisition of a CAM system and therefore access to and beginning of 3D surface machining
2006
Reorganization of stegema Fertigungstechnik OHG into stegema GmbH
2011
10-year company anniversary
2013
Expansion of company premises a the existing site in Bielefeld

20-year company anniversary
